1. Keep to the requirements.
In online auditions, many applicants are eliminated because they do not adhere to the basics required by ENT. For example, the image on the side is part of a promotional material for the 2023.11 YG MONTHLY AUDITION. The audition stated that as ZOOM is conducted, it should be conducted in a bright place with a good view of the face, and that dance candidates should be able to see the entire body. Precautions should be taken in most promotional materials, as they may not be as noticeable compared to other letters.
The tips below summarize the requirements of most auditions.
Please keep these tips even if they are not the audition requirements you apply for.
2. Make sure the support video is played properly.
A lot of applicants forget to check if the application video is played properly. Or, they judge themselves by saying, “This should be okay.” Let others judge you.
The image below is some of sm’s e-mail & Homepage Audition posts. When attaching a music file to the precaution, it was written that the extension name should be set to WMA, MP3, WAV, (cda cannot be judged).
In addition, when attaching a video, it is specified in the precautions to avoid uploading videos that are out of focus or have poor sound quality.
As such, files that cannot be reproduced enough to be described in precautions and precautions or bad sound quality and video are often sent.
3. Show yourself as you are now.
The image below is a post of STARSHIP AUDITION conducted by Starship Entertainment. See the first note here. It is written that photos that are not modified or front-facing with Photoshop & Filter are excluded from the first screening. Most Kpop auditions look for young applicants. Therefore, what matters is not the present but the future. Excessive correction does not make it look honest. Let’s reveal ourselves, not a made-up appearance, and show the future potential of the applicant.
4. Make sure to attach a video and a picture that shows your face properly.
Candidates in the singing field often send videos that are taken from the angle they are confident in. Make sure to film the video from the front of your face. Many agency employees do not even watch the video until the end when only the sides of your face are shown.
And sometimes they send a video that doesn’t expose their face. Kpop idol is a job that exposes yourself. You should have no qualms about exposing your face.
