How to apply for KPOP ONLINE AUDITION?

“How do I apply for an online audition?” 

This is a question that users ask once a day on the e-mail and question board. So I found out that there are a lot of people who don’t know how to apply for an online audition. I’m going to provide users with how to apply for online auditions of JYP, YG, and SM.

1. JYP

When you go into the JYP audition URL, there is an “online” button in the header menu. You can enter the online audition application page by pressing the online button.

The contents of the application form are as follows.
  • Required information: Name, E-mail, Password(Must be at least 10 characters long with alphabets, numbers, and special characters.), Nationality, Year of Birth, Gender, Height / Weight, Country Code / Contact(Mobile), Profile, Audio or Video
  • Optional information: SOCIAL MEDIA / ID or Username for Instant Messaging Apps (ex: Snapchat), Self Introduction
Which one should you choose for your profile picture?

There are no requirements for profile pictures in the application. Except “Only gif, png, jpg, or jpeg files, less than 2M(Must be in English)”

BUT there is a caveat to choosing a profile picture.

  1. You must put a picture of the front.
  2. No photos with their faces covered.
  3. It is good to have a picture that shows your personality and natural atmosphere.

You should show yourself honestly with a profile picture. So, choose a picture that shows your face better than one that covers your face. Also, you should not decorate your picture with Photoshop or App.

What if you want to show various images?
  1. Let’s prepare the costume concept in black and white.
  2. Let’s show different hairstyles.
  • Not too much.
  • Tie and untie your hair, and untie your hair and put it to one side.

Self-introduction is optional information, but if you want to write it, it should contain three contents.

If you enter the YG online audit URL, there is an apply button on the main page. By pressing the apply button, you can enter the online audit application page and apply to the Acting field and the Vocal, Rap, and Dance fields.

The contents of the application form are as follows.
  • Required information: Audition Category, Name/Gender, Date of birth, Height/Weight, Nationality/Residence in South Korea, Email, Mobile, Address (Minors need guardian verification.)
  • Optional information: Occupation(belong), Blood Type, Languages available(mother tongue exclusion), Hobby/Speciality, Experience, SNS

It is good to fill in Languages ​​available, Hobby/Speciality, and Experience in Optional information.

Profile photos and videos have conditions required by INT. Profile photos should not be over-corrected. The length of the video should be within 1 minute and 30 seconds and should be taken in a bright place.

3. SM

There is a button on the SM online audio main page to enter the E-mail & Homepage Audition page.

To apply for an E-mail audition, email “audition@smtown.com “.

  • Titles of E-mail should be name/ age/ gender/ category. Attach your video file (Dancing), music file (Singing) and face-shots (frontal/side) photos without any photoshop/retouching done.

You can apply for Homepage Audition on the relevant page.

  • Required information: Audition type, Name, Gender, E-Mail, Cellular Phone, Photos/Videos

Photos/Videos can be attached up to five, with a maximum capacity of 100 mb.

Precaution : E-mail and Online Audition File Attachment.
  • When you attach your photo files to e-mail, you should make your files a JPG or GIF format (ai or PSD format cannot be viewed).
  • photos that have been retouched or photoshopped. We also do not judge face-shots that are obscured by hands or clothes.
  • Avoid uploading unfocused video files or low-quality sound music files.
  • Music or video files that are sent by e-mail should be in WMA, MP3, or WAV format (MP4 or cda format cannot be evaluated).
