The group NewJeans pre-released the music video for “Bubble Gum” before their comeback.
According to the latest YouTube chart released on May 5, NewJeans’ “Bubble Gum” topped both the Korean weekly popular music video and popular song categories. In addition, “Bubble Gum” proved its global fandom by ranking second and fifth on YouTube’s global weekly popular music video and popular song charts, respectively.
U.S. media UPROXX called it “a cheerful pop that will be the perfect soundtrack for the coming summer days,” while another U.S. media outlet, NYLON, described it as “music videos evoke nostalgia as sweet as bouncy pop tracks.”
NewJeans will release a double single in Korea and Japan on May 24 and 21. They will also be active in both countries. They will hold a large-scale fan meeting at Tokyo Dome from May 26 to 27.

지난 5월 5일 발표된 유튜브 최신 차트에 따르면 뉴진스의 ‘Bubble Gum’이 한국 주간 인기 뮤직비디오와 인기곡 부문에서 모두 1위를 차지했다. 또한 ‘Bubble Gum’은 유튜브 글로벌 주간 인기 뮤직비디오와 인기곡 차트에서도 각각 2위, 5위에 올라 글로벌 팬덤을 증명했다.
미국 매체 업록스(UPROXX)는 “다가오는 여름날에 완벽한 사운드 트랙이 될 경쾌한 팝”이라고 했고, 또 다른 미국 매체 나일론(NYLON)은 “뮤직비디오는 통통 튀는 팝 트랙만큼이나 달콤한 향수를 불러일으킨다”라고 표현했다.
뉴진스는 오는 24일과 내달 21일 한국과 일본에서 각각 더블 싱글을 발매한다. 또한 두 나라를 오가며 활발한 활동을 할 예정이다. 내달 26~27일에는 도쿄돔에서 대규모 팬미팅을 개최한다.
