Preparing for a K-pop audition

BABYMONSTER – ‘Last Evaluation’ EP.2 Review

AHYEON, RUKA, and PHARITA performed with the song “Gone” by BLACKPINK Rose.
The three girls helped each other to solve the challenges, both big and small, during the practice process.

The judges praised them for their “good voice,” “She supports other trainees well even though she is a trainee with strong personality,” and “She is a trainee who fits well with the group.”

In particular, AHYEON, which received favorable reviews, said, “It seems that good results came out because each other respected each other’s personality and style.”
This was a part of how important the relationship of the kpop group, which was also mentioned in the Ep1 review before.

The second girls to perform are RAMI, ASA, CHIQUITA and RORA.
They received BLACKPINK’s “Stay” as a mission song.

For CHIQUITA, who just came to Korea, the consideration of the part distribution by other trainees made me cheer for their combination itself.

In particular, the player that stood out in this episode is ‘ASA’.
ASA has been a trainee at YG for a long time and is currently a member of the rap team at BABYMONSTER.
YG Entertainment is a company that mainly presents hip-hop genres, so the member who plays the rap position in the group must be Ace.

Despite being a Japanese member with Japanese nationality, ASA speaks Korean very well and has a very good Korean pronunciation.
ASA claimed to be CHIQUITA’s Korean teacher and helped Chikita pronounce Korean lyrics well.
In fact, after BABYMONSTER’s debut, ASA received many favorable reviews, including “I love her rapping” and “I had no idea she was Japanese.”
Her long efforts also stood out in EP2.

RORA’s sudden tears in the second half of the video also drew sympathy from many viewers.
RORA, who burst into tears after listening to Jennie’s advice, expressed her distress, citing her burden as a trainee and comparison with others.
The part that elicits this emotional empathy tells us why viewers become immersed in survival programs.

I’m also looking forward to the stage of the four girls (RAMI, ASA, CHIQUITA, and RORA) from other episodes.
