2025 K-pop global audition tours

StarBank Daeppang Desk – June 7, 2025

Over the past month, all three “big three” agencies have kicked off their 2025 global audition tours:

  • SM Entertainment opened pre-registration on December 12, 2024 for its “2025 SM Global Audition,” with on-site stops in 17 cities across Korea, China, Japan, the U.S. and Canada (allkpop.com).
  • JYP Entertainment held its First Monthly Audition on June 1, 2025 at the JYP Training Center in Seoul, open to anyone born between 2007–2015 and covering Vocal, Rap, Dance, Acting and Modeling (audition.jype.com).
  • HYBE Labels is accepting online applications for its 2025 Female Audition from May 19 through June 15, across Dance, Singing, Rapping and even Music Production tracks (kmkraj.org).

Global hopefuls should focus on the following preparations:

  1. High-Quality Video Submissions
    • Record a clear vocal demo (30–60 sec) using a neutral background and good lighting.
    • Film yourself performing a current K-pop choreography or your own dance routine, framed full-body and in HD.
  2. Language & Interview Skills
    • Memorize a concise Korean self-introduction (name, age, hometown, and why you love K-pop) in both Korean and English.
    • Practice common audition questions (e.g., strengths, training experience) and answer with confident pronunciation.
  3. Performance & Presence
    • Showcase your unique style—whether it’s a vocal riff, rap flair, or dance flair.
    • Engage the camera: maintain eye contact and express energy, as if on a live stage.
  4. Professional Profile Package
    • Prepare a one-page resume/photo sheet: include headshot, full-body shot, basic stats (height, date of birth), and any prior training or performance experience.
  5. Physical & Vocal Conditioning
    • Keep a consistent warm-up routine for voice and body.
    • Stay hydrated and practice stamina-building exercises (e.g., cardio dance drills).

StarBank Daeppang wishes every global trainee the best of luck—your preparation today could be tomorrow’s debut!
